The lavender fields are greener....as we approach summer the lavender fields are plumping up and going green.

Our Pacific Blue has a very faint tinge of purple but Grosso remains stubbornly green.

We would expect Pacific Blue to show it's true colours in another month, and Grosso around Christmas time.

We thought we would spend a bit of time exploring the colour of lavender. The colour is a mix of purple and white; purple being a mix of red and blue colors.

Lavender color is a light shade of purple with a blue tinge and matches the palest part of the lavender flower. Famous for its myriad of shades with different combinations of white and purple, lavender blush having more white than purple.

Colors carry meaning and inspire us to expereince a range of emotions. The colour lavender suggests someting different without the deep mystery of the regal color purple. It symbolizes purity, devotion, gracefulness, elegance, calmness, creativity, vitality, optimism, youthfulness, and love.
